We believe that the school – together with the parents – is very responsible for the education of the character and the formation of attitudes. We encourage the development of initiatives, the respect for diversity, the personal responsibility and the struggle for obtaining of excellence in what each student is good at. At the same time, the self-esteem is encouraged in all the activities from the class. This values and attitudes have to be encouraged at home as well. This is why we consider that parent involvement is essential.
Parents have an active role in the life of the kindergarten or school. There are multiple ways for parents to dedicate their time, talents or resources for the benefit of school life. These are some examples:
1. parents can participate in the kindergarten’s daily program
2. organize special activities with the children during the “Child of the week” program
3. help organize events (“Intercultural Day”, “Fire Safety Week”, “Autumn Carnival”, “Give and you shall receive”,” Reading Fair”, etc)
4. make presentations to the students
5. others (volunteer in the school library, in the cafeteria, etc)
